Cold and flu season is here yet again, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say that a common cold usually includes sneezing, runny nose, sore throat and coughing. Symptoms can last for up to two weeks.

Flu symptoms are more severe, and include fever, chills, muscle aches, cough, congestion, runny nose, headaches, and fatigue.

To promote a healthy and clean environment, the staff at Crossley Orthodontics give a great deal of attention to sanitation and sterilization in our office at all times, as well as following all requirements for sterilizing instruments and work surfaces.

For the protection of other patients and our staff, we always ask that patients reschedule their appointments if they have any type of cold or illness that can infect others.

It's important to remember to constantly wash your hands and avoid contact with those who are ill.

Important Tip: To prevent contamination, never allow anyone else to ever use your toothbrush and never use anyone else’s toothbrush. If you have a cold or flu, you may need to replace your brush once you are over your sickness.
