How to Use Invisalign Cleaning Crystals

If you’re using Invisalign, you’ve probably heard about Invisalign Cleaning Crystals—but do you know how to use them? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!

Keeping your aligners clean is super important, not just for your oral health but also to keep your aligners clear and odor-free. Invisalign Cleaning Crystals are a simple and effective way to remove plaque and bacteria from your aligners, so they stay as invisible as the day you got them.

How to Use Invisalign Cleaning Crystals

Using the cleaning crystals is quick and easy. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

Remove Your Aligners

Take your aligners out and give them a quick rinse under lukewarm water to remove any loose debris.

Prepare the Cleaning Solution

Fill a clean glass or container with enough lukewarm water to fully submerge your aligners. Open one packet of Invisalign Cleaning Crystals and pour it into the water.

Soak Your Aligners

Place your aligners in the solution and gently shake for 20 seconds to dissolve the crystals. Then, let them soak for about 15 minutes. This gives the cleaning crystals time to break down plaque and bacteria. After 15 minutes, gently shake again for 20 more seconds.

Rinse and Brush

After soaking, remove your aligners and rinse them thoroughly under lukewarm water. Use a soft toothbrush to gently brush away any remaining residue.

Why Use Invisalign Cleaning Crystals?

While rinsing and brushing your aligners daily is important, Invisalign Cleaning Crystals take your cleaning routine to the next level. They’re specially designed to:

  • Remove plaque buildup.

  • Eliminate bacteria that can cause odors.

  • Keep your aligners clear and stain-free.

Pro Tips for Keeping Your Aligners Clean:

  • Using the crystals a few times a week (or as needed) helps ensure your aligners stay in great shape throughout your treatment.

  • Always rinse your aligners before putting them back in your mouth, especially after eating or drinking anything other than water.

  • Avoid using toothpaste to clean your aligners—it can be too abrasive and cause scratches.

  • Keep a travel case handy to store your aligners when you’re not wearing them.
